Mailing List

Your boat particulars will be added to the mailing list for regular circulation to our large customer enquiry database.  Those specifically looking for that style and description will immediately receive details and be invited to view. Advertising

We are open 7 days a week with professional sales staff available to attend to prospective buyers.  As well as this site we also list your boat at www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk.  We also advertise in national boating magazines, and if you are interested, we can arrange additional advertising on your behalf.

Pricing

Deciding on a price for your boat is ultimately your decision, although by talking to one of our boat sales staff, we will be able to give you a recommendation of what price to ask and the current market conditions.

Photographs

We will take photographs of your boat when placed up for sale.  However, should you have any photographs you feel will display your boat particularly well, they can be emailed to us at sales@norfolkboatsales.co.uk. Sometimes photographs of boats with people enjoying themselves on board are of considerable help in achieving a sale.

Presentation

Clean boats in good condition sell faster and command a better price - it is important that your boat is presented in the best possible light, so please ensure she is clean, tidy and where possible clear of your personal belongings.  We are able to organize for your boat to have a professional valet should you require this.  We would however urge owners to come down on a regular basis to make sure that the inside and outside of their craft is kept in tiptop condition.  Hopefully, this approach will result in a quicker sale and at a premium price.  The owner is responsible for making sure the vessel being offered for sale is adequately insured all the while she is up for sale.

Sales Berths

We offer free moorings for boats that are for sale with us on our Brokerage berths at Wroxham & Brundall.

Charges

1. Charges are based upon the boat’s sale value, i.e. 8% + VAT of the agreed sale price up to £100,000 (minimum charge is £1,000 + VAT), then 7% selling price on boats over £100,000.
2. In the event of a private sale or sale by another broker, 1% + VAT is charged (minimum charge £500 + VAT).  This is to help contribute to our costs for sale presentation and advertising.
